Tegas needed a machine replacement
Before, Tegas utilized a 6kW CO2 cutter for most of their metal fabrication projects, but the cutter began to operate slowly due to its age. The machine frequently experienced downtime caused by functional issues. It also experienced reduced cutting quality when transitioning from nitrogen cutting to oxygen cutting. As a result, the Tegas team was actively looking for an alternative for quality and efficiency improvement.

That was when Bodor came to rescue. Seen as the very first step into advanced laser cutting, Bodor C series sheet metal fiber laser was presented as a reliable and economically-efficient solution to the Tegas team. In May 2022, Tegas Metal partnered with Bodor to complete installation of a 6kW C3 sheet metal laser cutting machine.
In comparison to the CO2 cutting technology, Bodor C3 processes regular metal materials much faster, with enhanced quality. Thanks to C3’s shorter wavelength (compared to a regular CO2 laser cutter), this sheet metal fiber laser works better with reflective metals like brass and aluminum. With all-around protection measures, C series ensures maximum safety for operators.
According to Fatih Murat, General Manager at Tegas Metal, the ergonomic engineering of the Bodor C3 structure has significantly improved their work efficiency. “We especially like the way where the inner and the outer tables are separated. The layout gives us more room and flexibility during operation. Moreover, the machine has enabled us to cut thicker materials range between 20-25 mm.”
